Walmart reports better-than-expected same-store sales

Sales at Walmart stores in the U.S. open for at least a year rose 1.8 percent in the fourth quarter, exceeding the 1.3 percent expected by analysts. Store visits rose 1.4 percent during the quarter while online sales jumped 29 percent.
