Walmart got Marc Lore to run its e-commerce business in the U.S. when it acquired Jet.com. Since coming on board, Mr. Lore has led acquisitions of businesses such as ModCloth and Moosejaw, while making changes designed to make Walmart.com more competitive in a market, he concedes, is dominated by Amazon.com.
