Weight Watchers rebrand gets caught up in U.S. and Iranian conflict

Weight Watchers, which changed its name to WW in 2018, found its promoted tweet with the hashtag #thisismyWW, being mistakenly caught up in the current geopolitical conflict between the United States and Iran. An airstrike last week by the Americans killing Maj. Gen. Qassim Suleimani of Iran led some to post tweets and retweets with hashtags such as #WorldWarIII.

Waffle House workers in Conyers, Georgia, are now on their third day of striking over what they call the company’s unfair policies. Led by the Union of Southern Service Workers (USSW), Waffle House employees are demanding an end to the mandatory “meal credit” deductions from their paychecks, along with better wages and improved working conditions.
