Williams Sonoma vet to lead Bed Bath & Beyond’s private label push

Neil Lick has been hired as senior vice president, owned brands by Bed Bath & Beyond. Mr. Lick, who spent 22 years in merchandising rolls at Williams Sonoma, will take charge of a new team at Bed Bath & Beyond tasked with developing and launching a portfolio of private labels beginning next year. “The company’s product growth strategy includes a sharper focus on product curation and differentiation as well as higher penetration of owned brands in core categories such as bed, bath and kitchen,” the retailer said in making the announcement.
