Women now comprise the majority of the nation’s workforce, but fall short pay-wise
MarketWatch 01/12/2020In December, for the second time (the first was during the 2010 recession), women held more jobs (50.4 percent) than men in America. It appears the trend stems from women grabbing up positions in the growing service and health care sectors, and yet, on average, women continue to make less — about 81 percent of what men make, a figure that’s gone virtually unchanged since 2004.
