17 Percent Sickened Annually by Food in U.S., Says CDC

A report estimating that one in every six Americans becomes ill from food each year, resulting in about 3,000 deaths, could hardly be considered good news unless perhaps compared to the last study from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention from 1999 in which it was estimated that one in four people became sick and 5,000 died from those illnesses.
