CDC adds six new symptoms to COVID-19 checklist

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has added to its original list of three symptoms — fever, cough and shortness of breath — that are indicative of COVID-19 infection. New additions including chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat and a recent loss of taste or smell. The CDC says symptoms associated with COVID-19 can take between two and 14 days to appear after infection. It reiterated that the virus continues to spread by people that are asymptomatic.
