Walmart’s online sales nearly doubled in second quarter

Walmart’s online sales jumped 97 percent in the second quarter as shoppers placed orders for products in a wide variety of categories. Same-store sales at the chain’s physical locations jumped 9.3 percent, excluding fuel, during the quarter, outpacing the 5.73 percent gain expected by analysts.
