City gives retail workers pandemic ‘Appreciation Pay’

The City of Oxnard will give grocery and drugstore associates who worked during the pandemic a one-time payment of $1,000 for continuing to do their jobs during the pandemic. The California city is using a $2.5 million grant it received as part of the American Rescue Plan to fund the payments.
