Belk names new CEO

Belk has promoted its chief merchandising officer, Nir Patel, to CEO of the department store chain. Mr. Patel is replacing Lisa Harper, who has been CEO of the chain since 2016. Ms. Harper will remain as executive chair of the company’s board.
