Electric vehicles accounted for 5.6 percent of new car sales from April through June, according to Cox Automotive, even as overall new car revenues fell 20 percent. “The transformation is real,” said John Lawler, Ford CFO. “Electric vehicle demand is well beyond what we can supply.”
