Baby formula inventory remains lean as production ramps up

Out-of-stocks of infant formula improved to 23 percent in late August, according to IRI, as an Abbott factory came back online. The facility was closed over product safety concerns earlier in the year. The current level, while improved from July, is still high compared to the pre-shutdown period when out-of-stocks were around 10 percent.
