Howard Schultz tells Senate committee that Starbucks plays by the rules

Starbucks has violated federal labor laws 130 times as it has sought to stave off organizing activity at its stores. Former CEO Howard Schultz, who denied accusations by Democrats on the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee that Starbucks has acted in bad faith negotiating with unionized shops, received support from Republican members who said he was being personally singled out for the company’s stance on collective bargaining. Only about 300 Starbucks’ roughly 9,000 U.S. locations have voted for a union.

Blue Origin made a triumphant return to space tourism with the launch of its New Shepard rocket, marking the end of a nearly two-year hiatus.
