April 14, 2023
The New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission declined to renew Curaleaf’s annual license to sell marijuana in the state. Curaleaf, the largest producer and seller of legal cannabis in New Jersey, called the decision “an outrageous act of political retaliation” without legal merit. The company said it would use “any legal means necessary” to reverse the ruling. Curaleaf operates three dispensaries in New Jersey and employs nearly 500 residents.
