Erik Carnell, a transgender designer whose products were pulled from some Target stores after conservatives falsely claimed they were targeted at children, says the retailer is engaging in “rainbow capitalism” where it seeks to profit from Pride month but isn’t ready to stand up for the LGBTQ community. “If you’re going to take a stance and say that you care about the LGBT community, you need to stand by that regardless,” said Mr. Carnell.
