Allbirds Launches Carbon-Neutral Sneakers
July 7, 2023
Allbirds, a leading sustainable footwear brand, has announced the launch of its first carbon-neutral sneakers. The new sneakers, called the M0. 0NSHOT, are made from a variety of sustainable materials, including merino wool, sugarcane-derived EVA, and recycled polyester.
The M0. 0NSHOT sneakers are designed to have a net-zero carbon footprint. This means that the amount of carbon emitted during the production and transportation of the sneakers is offset by the company’s investments in carbon removal projects.
Allbirds is the first footwear brand to achieve carbon neutrality for a sneaker. The company’s goal is to make all of its products carbon neutral by 2025.
“We’re excited to launch the M0. 0NSHOT sneakers and show the world that it’s possible to make sustainable sneakers that are also stylish and comfortable,” said Tim Brown, co-founder and CEO of Allbirds. “We believe that carbon neutrality is the future of footwear, and we’re committed to leading the way.”
The M0. 0NSHOT sneakers are available for purchase now on the Allbirds website.
