Musk Makes Fan-Created ‘X’ Twitter’s New Logo in Abrupt Change
July 24, 2023
Elon Musk has replaced Twitter’s iconic blue bird logo with a stylized “X” as part of his plan to transform the platform into an all-encompassing app. Musk invited his 149 million followers to suggest an “X” logo, and within 24 hours, he chose one of the designs to become the company’s new brand identity. The “X” logo now appears on Twitter’s homepage, Musk’s profile photo, and loading animations, and he confirmed that it is an interim design that may be refined in the future as part of a broader overhaul that will remove all familiar “Twitter” and bird branding.
