Coach Is the New ‘Cool Girl’ Brand for Gen Z
August 11, 2023
Coach has experienced a revival among Gen Z consumers, with spending on the brand by individuals under 25 increasing by 10% from January through June of this year, according to a report from Earnest Analytics. The brand’s efforts to reinvent itself by partnering with celebrities like rapper Lil Nas X, launching Y2K-inspired campaigns, and emphasizing “expressive luxury” over “accessible luxury” have contributed to its renewed appeal. Coach’s parent company, Tapestry, reported stronger-than-expected sales numbers, and its recent acquisition of Capri Holdings is expected to further boost its competitive position in the market.
