Chinese Travel Demand Back, Europe Set To Gain – Survey
September 20, 2023
Chinese demand for international travel has surged to its highest point in two years, according to a survey cited by the organisers of the ITB travel conference. Approximately 80% of respondents indicated plans to travel abroad in the next year, with around half expressing intent to do so more frequently than in the past. Notably, there’s a growing interest in traveling to Europe, suggesting a rebound in tourism to the region, possibly fueled by a catch-up effect after pandemic-related travel restrictions.
