Kwik Trip Discontinues Bagged Milk
March 28, 2024
Bagged milk, a long-standing staple at Kwik Trip, will soon disappear from its shelves. Starting this May, customers won’t find Nature’s Touch bagged milk at any of the retailer’s stores.
The decision came from Kwik Trip itself, as it revealed in a statement on Wednesday. The company pointed to the changing tastes of its customers as the main reason for discontinuing bagged milk sales.
“We acknowledge that changes in product availability can impact customer routines and preferences. We remain committed to assisting guests during this transition. Our Marketing Department has contacted those groups who had special promotional coupons for bagged milk and have offered a new solution with our other milk offerings. This is an end to a product that was associated with the Kwik Trip brand for many years, but after evaluating the need and cost for new equipment to replace our antiquated bagged milk equipment, and the decreased customer demand, we made the tough decision to discontinue Nature’s Touch milk in the bag.”

Over the years, Kwik Trip noticed a significant drop in demand for bagged milk, especially when compared to milk sold in jugs. This decline in popularity ultimately led to the company’s decision to phase out this once-popular item.
To ensure a smooth transition, Kwik Trip’s marketing department reached out to various groups that had special promotional coupons for bagged milk. They offered alternative solutions with other milk offerings as a replacement.
For more than four decades, bagged milk has been a signature product at Kwik Trip. However, as consumer preferences shifted, the company had to adapt to meet the changing demands of its customers.
The end of bagged milk at Kwik Trip marks the conclusion of an era. While some loyal customers may feel nostalgic about its departure, the company is moving forward to provide products that better align with current market trends.
Though the decision may disappoint a few, Kwik Trip remains committed to offering a wide range of quality products to satisfy their customers’ needs. As they bid farewell to bagged milk, they look forward to introducing new and innovative items that will resonate with their ever-evolving customer base.
