New Oreo Sour Patch Kids Cookies Unveiled
April 24, 2024
Oreo is back with another unique twist on its classic cookie. This time, the brand has teamed up with Sour Patch Kids to create a limited-edition flavor that’s sure to grab attention. The new Oreo Sour Patch Kids cookies are available for pre-order starting April 24 on Oreo’s website, with plans to hit stores on May 6.
“The OREO brand is always looking for playful ways to excite our fans. What better and more unexpected way to do that than letting SOUR PATCH KIDS playfully take over our cookie?!”
Caroline Suppiger, Oreo’s senior associate brand manager, via Today
These special cookies feature the familiar Golden Oreos, but with a twist. Both the cookie and the creamy filling are infused with Sour Patch Kids flavors and colors, offering a sweet yet sour taste experience. The price for these unique treats will be $4.50 online and $5.29 in stores.
This collaboration isn’t Oreo’s first colorful experiment. Earlier this year, the brand introduced Oreo Space Dunk cookies with a blue and pink “cosmic creme” filling complete with popping candy particles.
The new Oreo Sour Patch Kids cookies are a joint venture between the two brands, which are both owned by Mondelēz International. Both brands are excited about this playful twist on a classic cookie and are eager to see how fans will react.
In addition to the cookies, Oreo is also releasing exclusive merchandise for super fans. The collection includes a crewneck shirt, jogging pants, bucket hat, socks, and more, featuring images of cookies, fruits, and the iconic “kids.” These items will be available for purchase on Oreo’s website starting May 2, while supplies last.
So, if you’re a fan of Oreo cookies or Sour Patch Kids, this new mashup might be worth a try. Keep an eye out for these limited-edition cookies and exclusive merchandise coming soon to stores and online.
