Costco Recall: These 2 Products Should Be Returned ASAP
September 9, 2024
A Costco recall on two popular products has been issued, and customers are urged to return the affected products for a full refund immediately.
According to NJ.com, the well-known merchant issued recalls for Rock River Cattle Co. Smokey Hibachi Skirt Steaks and Kodiak Power Waffles, which are available at warehouses in some areas of the United States. There have been no documented adverse reactions or injuries connected to this recall. However, Costco is still advising customers who own these products not to consume them.
Costco Recall: Details on the Affected Products
The Kodiak waffles affected by the Costco recall may have been tainted with a soft plastic film. They were mainly distributed in the Midwest, and they were packaged in 40-count boxes of Buttermilk & Vanilla Power Waffles with the lot code 24193-WL4, the sell-by date of Jan. 10, 2026, and the UPC 705599019203 on the label.
The Southeastern region was the primary distribution area for the recalled Rock River Cattle Co. Smokey Hibachi Seasoned Beef Skirt Steak. It was recalled due to the presence of unlisted soy, wheat, and sesame allergies on the label. Those who are sensitive to those allergies may be at risk from this. The products with a sell-by date of Sept. 13, 2024, are covered by the recall.
Customers who have purchased either of these products listed in the Costco recall are encouraged to return them to their nearest retailer for a full refund.
News of the latest Costco recall comes amidst reports that, instead of $60 a year, Gold Star members in the US and Canada now pay $65 annually. The yearly cost of Costco’s executive memberships increased by $10 to $130, while the maximum 2% reward climbed to $1,250 from $1,000 earlier. Approximately 52 million members will be impacted by the current price rise, of which more than half are executive members.
