Domino’s Says No to Shrinkflation With MOREflation Promo

September 10, 2024

Domino’s has turned the idea of shrinkflation on its head. The pizza chain is rejecting the concept of less is more with a promo titled “MOREflation.”

According to a Domino’s press release, the company is taking a stand against shrinkflation by giving its customers more food for the same price. Customers can already mix and match any two or more medium two-topping pizzas from Domino’s for $6.99 each. Now, they can upgrade one of their pizzas to a large for free from Sept. 9 to Sept. 29.

“As a response to high inflation, many companies are shrinking products to avoid raising prices,” said Joe Jordan, Domino’s president of U.S. and global services. “We understand that consumers are looking for great-tasting, affordable meal options. That’s why we’ve taken our biggest and best offer — our mix and match deal — and made it even better by giving customers more pizza for the same price.”

“We’ve always been dedicated to providing delicious food at a great price to customers,” Jordan continued. “From our enhanced loyalty program, Domino’s Rewards, which makes it even easier for members to earn free items more often, to launching our Carryout Tips and Emergency Pizza programs — we’re constantly looking at innovative ways we can provide value.”

Customers can choose from three types of pizza: Hand-Tossed, thin crust, or New York-style crust. These can be customized to suit customer preferences. To take advantage of the deal, customers can visit dominos.com or use the Domino’s app, select the MOREflation offer, and place their order.

This promotion follows an August promise by “America’s Got Talent” judge Simon Cowell, the company’s new quality captain. “Domino’s demands greatness,” said Cowell about the company’s quest for perfection. “They know exactly what it means to deliver the perfect pizza. Domino’s is a definite yes from me.”

Currently, Domino’s has more than 20,900 stores in over 90 markets.
