ALDI To Hire 13,000 Workers With Pay Upwards of $23 Per Hour

ALDI is hiring. The supermarket chain is planning to add more than 13,000 workers to its roster as it prepares for the holidays and adds to its expansion.

A company press release explains that the retailer will hire over 13,000 store and warehouse associates for the holiday season as it continues to add new stores across the U.S. Thus, ALDI is growing its team of more than 49,000 employees and raising its national average hourly pay.

Atty McGrath, president of ALDI, shared a statement regarding this exciting new update to the company’s employment roster: “Whether it’s our in-store team filling shelves with fresh produce, warehouse staff managing logistics, or drivers delivering our trending ALDI Finds, our employees fuel the quicker, easier and more affordable shopping experience our shoppers know and love. Our ability to attract and retain talent has always been key to our success, and we look forward to helping our new team members grow in their careers.”

ALDI is known for its industry-leading wages and commitment to competitive compensation. Therefore, the new national average starting salaries for open ALDI store and warehouse positions will be $18 and $23 per hour, based on market and position.

Employees who work more than 30 hours a week can access healthcare insurance, paid time off, and other benefits. In addition, ALDI added flexible scheduling and 100% paid parental and caregiver leave in 2023.

ALDI claims that 70% of assistant store managers and over 30% of store managers started as store associates at ALDI. Furthermore, the company’s executive leaders began their careers in an ALDI store.

Hiring for these new ALDI positions is currently ongoing.
