QDOBA Celebrates National Queso Day With New Spicy Queso

National Queso Day is today (Sept. 20), and QDOBA is celebrating the foodie holiday with a brand-new offering on its menu.

In a press release announcement, it was revealed that the fast-food chain with a Mexican flair is launching Queso Apocalypto & Chips, a brand-new, limited-time deal. With layers of tastes created with QDOBA’s Queso Diablo and topped with flaming hot crunchies, salsa roja, habanero salsa, and pickled jalapeños, Queso Apocalypto is the spiciest queso ever.

“At QDOBA, we believe queso should be celebrated every day, not just on National Queso Day,” said Kim Zamir, vice president of marketing at QDOBA, in a statement accompanying the press release. “Spicy foods are one of this year’s hottest (literally) food trends, and QDOBA has a passion for innovating new menu items our fans will love.”

This new National Queso Day offering will be available as a side only, according to the company, and it’s priced starting at $5.95. For those with milder palates, QDOBA’s famous 3-Cheese Queso — a tasty concoction of cheeses, fire-roasted tomatoes, and chilis — is always complimentary when ordering a create-your-own entrée. You can also get a side order of 3-Cheese Queso & Chips, if you choose.

Other National Queso Day Offerings

In addition to offering a free queso add-on for all entrees at participating Moe’s locations, Moe’s Southwest Grill is offering all dine-in customers on Friday, Sept. 20, a complementary side or cup of queso per person for National Queso Day. There’s no need to redeem, as this is an open offer.

But guests who shop online can also experience the thrill. Moe Rewards Members get a free side or cup of queso and a free queso add-on for every meal when they use their redeemable. One redemption of the redeemable is permitted. Additionally, Moe Rewards Members can receive one free cup of queso all weekend long at participating Moe’s locations by using their Free Queso Weekend promotion.

Joining in on the celebration, Pancheros Mexican Grill has declared that it will also be giving away free servings of queso with every meal purchase for National Queso Day.
