Subway Debuts Its First Holiday Footlong Cookie
October 24, 2024
Sometimes you’re just in the mood for something sweet. Look no further than a local Subway restaurant, which will now carry its first footlong cookie with a holiday twist just in time for the season of giving.
A new Double Chocolate Peppermint Footlong Cookie has the flavors of the season, pairing mint and chocolate for a flavor palette bursting with cheer. The cookie contains chocolate and white chips swirled with peppermint extract and topped with red and white candy cane pieces, as revealed in a press release.
The Double Chocolate Peppermint Footlong Cookie is priced at $5. It’s perfectly packaged in a foot-long holiday box for sharing with family and friends.
Paul Fabre, senior vice president of culinary and innovation at Subway, explained how the new cookie flavor adds to the company’s snack offerings: “Since their debut earlier this year, millions of Footlong Cookies have delighted our fans — now we can’t wait for them to experience how we’ve reimagined another classic cookie flavor into even more footlong indulgence. The holiday season is synonymous with cookies, making it the perfect time to introduce this new warm, flavor-packed footlong cookie to our snack menu.”
The seasonal flavor is only available for a limited time at Subway, from Nov. 1 through Dec. 31, while supplies last. To order the new footlong cookie, visit Subway.com, the Subway App, or a local Subway restaurant.
Subway Added Footlong Cookies to Its Menu in December 2023
Subway is known for selling more freshly baked cookies than any other restaurant company in the United States. The fast-food restaurant debuted its footlong cookie on National Cookie Day, Dec. 4, 2022.
The cookies were permanently added to Subway’s menu in December 2023. Subway’s culinary team spent a year working on the recipe to update it further.
“The overwhelming response we received from fans around the country last year let us know that we needed to make the footlong cookie a permanent addition to our menu,” Fabre said at the time.
The chocolate chip footlong cookie joined two other sweet treats added to Subway’s menu. These included a Cinnabon Footlong Churro for $2 and an Auntie Anne’s Footlong Pretzel for $3.
