Taco Bell Has Added a Bunch of New Items to Its Menu. Here’s a Full List of All the Additions

November 2, 2024

Taco Bell has been trying to attract a whole new customer base by adding a bunch of new items to its menu. And, in some cases, the fast-food giant knows what the people want and is merely bringing back some classic favorites for a whole new audience to enjoy. Let’s take a look at the full list of all the new items the Mexican-inspired fast-food giant has brought back — whether permanently or for a limited time.

Taco Bell New Menu Item Roundup

According to Good Morning America, some of the most popular menu items that have returned for a limited time are part of the so-called “Decades Menu,” which features some of the best-selling items from years gone by. For a limited time, the much-hyped Decades Menu is offering the ’60s Tostada, ’70s Green Sauce Burrito, ’80s Meximelt, and ’90s Gordita Supreme for less than $3 nationwide.

To complete the nostalgic selection, the well-liked Caramel Apple Empanada will join the retro returns on Nov. 21.

“Everyone remembers the moment they fell in love with Taco Bell and that one special menu item that brings you right back,” Taco Bell’s chief marketing officer, Taylor Montgomery, said in the announcement of the Decades Menu. He also said that the menu and “the merch we’re creating are an ode to our rich history and a love letter to our fans, whether they’ve been rolling through our drive-thru for decades or are just about to discover their first Caramel Apple Empanada.”

Additionally, some Taco Bell fans can now enjoy the newest menu item, the Chicken Al Pastor Street Chalupas, which launched in Minneapolis on Oct. 31. Encased in two cheesy, street-sized shells that are reminiscent of the Quesalupa, this limited-edition dish offers a distinctive combination of Cantina Slow-Roasted Chicken marinated in a flavorful mixture of chiles and pineapple. This new product, which costs $4.99, is meant to enthrall consumers with its strong flavors and crisp cilantro and onion toppings.

The Chicken Al Pastor Street Chalupas honor the rich culinary legacy that blends Mexican and Middle Eastern elements, drawing inspiration from the classic Mexican al pastor meal. Taco Bell’s recent success with its Cantina Chicken menu and Cheesy Street Chalupas is built upon by this innovation, which demonstrates the company’s continued dedication to expanding its menu with delectable Mexican-inspired meals.

No More MLB Partnership

While Taco Bell has been enjoying the success of its newest menu items, it also recently suffered the loss of a longtime partnership with Major League Baseball (MLB).

The popular “Steal a Base, Steal a Taco” promotion during the World Series, which this year featured the Los Angeles Dodgers and the New York Yankees, will now be missed by fans as a result of this decision.

An MLB official confirmed the announcement, which is the first time the promotion has not been included in the Fall Classic since 2014. The famous gift first surfaced during the 2007 World Series, which featured the Boston Red Sox against the Colorado Rockies. Taco Bell’s association with the league began in 2004.

In general, if a player stole a base throughout the series, supporters could use the offer to get a free taco at any Taco Bell restaurant across the country. By occasionally altering the incentives and game components related to the campaign, Taco Bell has been able to keep things entertaining and engaging for its patrons throughout the years.
