Bonefish Grill Introduces ‘Wicked’-Inspired Cocktails

Bonefish Grill has added a unique twist to the buzz surrounding the motion picture “Wicked.” The eatery debuted its own cocktails inspired by the hues of the movie’s lead characters, Glinda (Ariana Grande) and Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo).

Two Martini drinks are available for customers to enjoy. The adult beverages are described as a way for the film’s fans to “celebrate the iconic story of friendship and self-discovery with our limited-time Wicked-inspired martinis!​​ Whether you’re drawn to the bubbly charm of an Ozmopolitan or the bold spirit of Oz’s Elixir, you’ll find the perfect match to your inner magic.​”

The Ozmopolitan​ is a twist on the classic Martini, featuring Absolut vodka, Malibu Coconut rum, cranberry juice, fresh sour, mango, and a swirl of “shimmer​.” The Elixir is “a thrillifying cocktail featuring Absolut vodka, Malibu Coconut rum, pineapple juice, lime, and green apple flavors with a touch of spellbinding sparkle​.”

‘Wicked’-Inspired Food Is the Industry’s Hottest Trend

Many of the most popular restaurant chains in the country are jumping on the food industry’s hottest trend, “Wicked”-inspired food and drinks.

On Oct. 22, Starbucks released two drinks inspired by the lead characters of “Wicked.” The limited-time beverages are inspired by the film’s main characters, Glinda (the Good Witch of the South) and Elphaba (the Wicked Witch of the West).

Glinda’s Pink Potion features a Mango Dragonfruit Starbucks Refreshers Beverage shaken with coconut milk, ice, and a scoop of freeze-dried dragonfruit, and topped with nondairy strawberry cold foam and colorful candy sprinkles. Elphaba’s Cold Brew features Starbucks Cold Brew sweetened with peppermint-flavored syrup and topped with nondairy matcha cold foam and green candy sprinkles.

There’s also Walmart’s “Wicked” mystery color mac and cheese. The store’s Great Value brand debuted microwaveable cups that feature silhouettes of the main characters. Once heated, the product features either pink or green color-changing cheese.

Betty Crocker also released a line of bake-at-home goods inspired by the film. The company is promoting its color-changing cupcake mix as well as color-changing cookie dough pops.

“Wicked” will be released on Nov. 22, 2024. The second part hits theaters one year later, on Nov. 26, 2025.
