Krispy Kreme Celebrates World Kindness Day Today With Free Doughnuts. Here’s How To Get Yours
November 13, 2024
Krispy Kreme is doing its part to celebrate World Kindness Day by giving away free doughnuts to its patrons. There are, however, some requirements to get these free sweet treats. Let’s take a look at how you can get yours.
Krispy Kreme Celebrates World Kindness Day
A press release revealed that on Nov. 13, Krispy Kreme will give out a dozen Original Glazed doughnuts to the first 500 customers who visit each participating location in the United States. There is no need to purchase anything to enjoy and share these treats with others.
“World Kindness Day is a reminder that we can all make a positive impact in people’s lives, including through small gestures like sharing a sweet treat. We hope that each dozen Original Glazed doughnuts we give away enables and inspires many dozens of small acts of kindness,” said Dave Skena, Krispy Kreme’s global chief brand officer, in a statement accompanying the press release.
Many of the 40 nations where the doughnut giant works will observe World Kindness Day on Nov. 13. The first 500 customers in-store and at the drive-thru at each participating location in the United States will receive a complimentary Original Glazed dozen.
One of the most popular and well-known brands of sweet treats worldwide is Krispy Kreme, which has its headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina. Everyone knows the chain’s famous Original Glazed doughnut for its melt-in-your-mouth, hot-off-the-line flavor. Through its distinctive network of freshly made doughnut restaurants, alliances with top merchants, and a quickly expanding internet company with over 15,500 new means of access, Krispy Kreme operates in 40 countries. The company’s passion for its people, communities, and the environment is a reflection of its daily operations, which are guided by its mission to touch and improve lives through the joy that is Krispy Kreme.
Free Doughnuts to McDonald’s Customers
This isn’t the first time that the doughnut giant has given away free doughnuts to its customers. Back in October, the doughnut chain gave away a free glazed doughnut to all McDonald’s customers in celebration of their recent partnership.
The excitement around the launch of Krispy Kreme products at McDonald’s was increased by this limited-time promotion, which gave each customer the opportunity to enjoy one doughnut for free. As customers get ready to savor these sweets at their neighborhood fast-food eateries, the program hopes to delight doughnut lovers in Chicago and across the country.
Since Oct. 15, three popular doughnut variants have been offered every day at the McDonald’s in the Chicago area: the Original Glazed doughnut, the Chocolate Iced with Sprinkles doughnut, and the Chocolate Iced Kreme Filled doughnut. These choices are available while supplies last and are freshly delivered every day.
“The top request we receive from consumers is for more access to our delicious, fresh doughnuts,” said Josh Charlesworth, Krispy Kreme’s president and CEO, in a statement accompanying the press release announcement of the first phase of the McDonald’s partnership. “Having Krispy Kreme doughnuts under the Golden Arches is golden for our fans and we’re excited to celebrate by giving our guests who also visit a McDonald’s a free Original Glazed doughnut.”
In addition, Krispy Kreme offered free Original Glazed doughnuts to customers on July 19 from 5 to 7 p.m. as a way to address persistent problems created by a CrowdStrike software update that had triggered a worldwide tech outage during the summer. During the disruption, which impacted airports, Social Security offices, and other companies, the promotion sought to improve people’s mood.
According to experts like Munish Walther-Puri, the outage exposed weaknesses in the dependence on a small number of cybersecurity companies.
