Del Taco Debuts New Carne Asada Burrito & ‘Dirty Soda’

Del Taco continues to expand its menu offerings, debuting a new carne asada burrito alongside a so-called “dirty soda.”

A press release announcement revealed that the massive fast-food chain is stepping up its game with a brand-new Chipotle Carne Asada Steak Burrito, which they describe as a daring addition to their menu of freshly grilled carne asada steaks.

“As a Southern California-based brand, we know that carne asada is more than just a delicious protein option. It’s a favorite among backyard barbecues, family gatherings and get-togethers because of the freshly grilled, bold and authentic flavor it brings to a meal,” said Tom Rose, president of Del Taco, in a statement accompanying the press release. “Our guests should be able to grab carne asada on the go at an affordable price. Starting with Street Tacos at $2.99*, our carne asada steak lineup also includes Epic Burritos® and Loaded Fries, plus the NEW Chipotle Carne Asada Steak Burrito that’s over half a pound and grilled to perfection.”

Additionally, fans can enjoy the fast-food giant’s seasonal beverage selection. Del Taco is introducing the new Dirty Del, its dirty soda, which has a fresh-cut lime and sweet, creamy vanilla on top of refreshing Dr Pepper.

Del Taco Entered the Fast-Food Wars

The Mexican-American-inspired fast-food giant isn’t afraid to include new items on its menu. Last month, the company entered the fast-food wars with the introduction of its so-called “Mucho Meal,” which offered customers more bang for their buck for just $5.

Each Del’s Mucho Meal comes with a 16-ounce fountain drink, little Crinkle Cut Fries, and a Mini Cinnamon Churro. Medium or macho (big) fries and drinks are also available. The Snack Taco Mucho Meal, which includes two Snack Tacos, is the most expensive of the lunches at $4.49. Additionally, customers can sample the Double Taco Mucho Meal ($6.49), the Chicken Lover’s Mucho Meal ($7.49), and the B&C Burrito Mucho Meal ($5.49).

Additionally, the casual Mexican restaurant company revealed that the Cookie Butter Shake would be back for a brief period of time. Everyone should taste this delicious dessert. It is prepared with a creamy vanilla shake that contains crunchy Biscoff Cookie Crumbles and authentic Biscoff Cookie Butter.
