Olive Garden Brings Iconic Fan Favorites Back to Its Holiday Menu
December 3, 2024
Olive Garden is ready to give the people what they want by bringing back fan-favorite dishes for the holidays.
In a press release announcement, it was revealed that two popular dishes, Steak Gorgonzola Alfredo and Stuffed Chicken Marsala, have returned to restaurants across the country as of Dec. 2 as part of the casual dining chain’s early holiday present to patrons. Despite being taken off the menu during the pandemic, these two dishes remain the “most-requested items” on social media and in person. According to the chain, “Guests contact Olive Garden every day asking to bring these items back.”
When dining in, these dishes will come with endless breadsticks and unlimited house-made soup or the restaurant’s famous salad.
According to Allrecipes, 6 ounces of grilled sirloin steak tips are served with fettuccine alfredo, blue cheese, and spinach in the Steak Gorgonzola Alfredo. Sun-dried tomatoes and a balsamic drizzle are placed on top.
A grilled chicken breast packed with Italian cheese and sun-dried tomato is the centerpiece of the Stuffed Chicken Marsala. It is served with mashed potatoes and has a creamy marsala sauce on top.
Olive Garden Is Test-Piloting Delivery Options
Olive Garden recently revealed that it is test-piloting delivery options with Uber Direct.
The project is still in its early stages and will only be launched in a few locations by the end of this year. But by May 2025, Olive Garden’s parent company, Darden Restaurants, expects the initiative to be implemented across the country.
Uber Eats is not the same as Uber Direct. Customers will eventually only be able to order from Olive Garden’s website and mobile app. Staff members will deliver orders to vehicles that will be waiting in specific pickup areas as part of the current process.
Back in September, the restaurant reported an incredible $4.97 billion in total revenue, proving that whatever the Italian-inspired casual dining brand is doing is working. According to the most recent survey, there remains a consistent demand for Italian food in spite of inflation and other economic challenges in the United States.
