Inside Delta Air Lines’ New First-Class Lounge at Boston’s Logan International Airport

December 14, 2024

Delta Air Lines continues to prove it is the creme-de-la-creme of flying experiences, recently unveiling a new first-class lounge at Boston’s Logan International Airport.

Designed by the highly regarded and decorated chef Ed Brown, this 6,700-square-foot premium dining area will provide guests with a unique culinary experience characterized by Delta’s trademark warmth and service, according to a press release.

“No two Delta One Lounges are alike — with each new space, we strive to create something truly special and distinct to the host city, while never compromising on service or quality,” said Claude Roussel, vice president of Delta Sky Club and Lounge Experience, in a statement accompanying the press release. “We know our guests value the exclusivity and hospitality of dining at a Delta One Lounge. This lounge is designed to deliver the elevated, VIP experience guests want — an experience that draws inspiration from the history and culinary traditions of Boston.”

With sophisticated seafood specialties like a warm Maine lobster roll, octopus carpaccio, and cod Milanese on the menu, Delta Air Lines clients may enjoy a three-course meal in less than an hour. The release added that “a chef’s daily local fish selection will be served a la plancha.”

There are also many options for non-seafood fans, including the popular steak frites, crispy cauliflower, excellent beef tartare, and more. Finish your dinner with a sweet treat, such as a Boston cream pie, a local favorite, or a warm apple tart.

A seafood or vegetarian version of the traditional New England dish will be available upon request as an appetizer to go with the first course for Delta Air Lines guests, as no Boston dining experience is complete without a “cup o’chowdah.”

Delta Air Lines Is Also Upping the Ante for Its Pilots

Recently, the airline made headlines when it revealed its state-of-the-art pilot program in Salt Lake City.

Delta Air Lines made history when it opened its $50-million flight operations training facility in Salt Lake City, according to KSL.com.

In addition to an A350 and A320 simulator, the facility features four flight simulation bays and plans to add a B737 simulator next spring. The first flight simulators Delta has ever had in a training facility outside of its Atlanta headquarters are in Salt Lake City.
