Burger King Confuses Fans With the Return of Crispy Tacos

December 27, 2024

Burger King has confused its fans nationwide with the announcement of the return of the Crispy Tacos.

Instagram food blogger Markie Devo made the revelation on his popular account on Dec. 26, and he kicked it off with a snarky caption. “Taco Bell has nuggets, Burger King has tacos, what’s next?…McD’s selling sushi!” he wrote.

The blogger further revealed that the Crispy Tacos would only be available in select locations and that curious customers could check the BK app for details on where they could find the unique offering.

According to Parade, the Crispy Tacos are “filled with seasoned beef, melted American cheese, crisp lettuce, and zesty taco sauce, all in a crunchy tortilla shell.”

As commenters considered what other fast-food releases might come next — from Wendy’s Shrimp Nuggets and KFC’s Crab Leg Tenders to Subway serving cheeseburgers and McDonald’s launching sushi — with Taco Bell already branching out into chicken nuggets — someone else couldn’t help but ask, “What is happening in the fast-food world?!!”

Burger King Already Brought Back Fan-Favorite Menu Items

The Crispy Tacos aren’t the only things returning to BK’s menu. Earlier this month, the fast-food chain announced the just-in-time-for-the-holidays return of BK Melts, Churro Fries, and Fiery Chicken Fries.

Even if these menu items are nothing new to brand loyalists, they are still favorites, and the burger chain’s decision to bring them back shows some gratitude to its longtime customers and recognition that they are expected to be popular.

Burger King also has options if the BK Melts aren’t your thing. Perhaps you like sweet or spicy sides.

Due to popular demand, Churro Fries will be returning to BK. An added plus is that the delicious cinnamon treats are available at any time of day.

Lastly, the fast-food chain will now offer Fiery Chicken Fries. These fried chicken fries will appeal to those who like a little spice, but if you like less spicy food, you might want to go for BK’s regular chicken fries instead.
