Burger King Patron Goes Viral After Claiming She Received Marijuana With Her Order
January 16, 2025
Burger King has frequently been in the news for strange, wacky, and sometimes wonderful reasons. However, this latest viral story about the fast-food chain may take the proverbial cake, as a customer went viral after claiming she received more than what she ordered with her food, thus giving a whole new meaning to the term “happy meal.” Let’s look at what we know.
Burger King Patron Claims She Got Marijuana
According to WDTN, after reportedly being given marijuana in the local Burger King drive-thru, a woman is speaking out.
In a recent video, TikTok user JannaBama says she bought chicken fries for her kids at a Hamilton, Ohio, restaurant. She claims that marijuana was also unexpectedly included in her order as she goes on to display a bag with purported traces inside and then shows the marijuana itself in a bowl next to the chicken fries.
“Cannot make this up,” said the post caption. “I didn’t ask for a side of this.”

The comments on the TikTok video suggest that more than a few people would be interested in getting this unique version of an “adult Happy Meal,” however.
“I have mixed emotions bc I would be upset if this was in my kids food but ecstatic if it was in mine,” wrote one commenter. Another wrote, “Currently in the drive thru… so just ask for some chicken fries or? What did you order,” and one more added, “And just like that everyone is going to Hamilton Burger King.”
Although there have been no reports of the event, Hamilton Police Department authorities are “actively investigating the incident,” a spokesperson informed the outlet.
The video has received 138,000 likes and 1.5 million views as of the morning of Jan. 16.
“We contacted the Franchisee of this restaurant immediately upon learning of this incident and can confirm that the employee in question has been terminated,” a spokesperson for Burger King told the outlet. “We were very disappointed to learn of the incident and do not take incidents that put our guests in danger lightly.”
Crispy Taco Confusion
The order mix-up isn’t the only time the fast-food giant confused its patrons. Last month, BK had customers scratching their collective heads when it announced the return of the controversial Crispy Tacos.
On Dec. 26, Instagram food blogger Markie Devo revealed the information on his well-known account, beginning with a humorous remark. “Taco Bell has nuggets, Burger King has tacos, what’s next?…McD’s selling sushi!” he wrote.
The blogger went on to say that the Crispy Tacos will only be offered in a few locations and that interested consumers can check the BK app to find out where to get the special item.
Parade described the Crispy Tacos as being “filled with seasoned beef, melted American cheese, crisp lettuce, and zesty taco sauce, all in a crunchy tortilla shell.”
As commenters speculated about potential future fast-food releases, such as Wendy’s shrimp nuggets, KFC’s crab leg tenders, Subway’s cheeseburgers, McDonald’s sushi, and Taco Bell’s foray into chicken nuggets, another poster couldn’t resist asking, “What is happening in the fast-food world?!!”
Recently, too, the fast-food giant announced the return of BK Melts, Churro Fries, and Fiery Chicken Fries. The burger chain’s choice to reinstate certain menu items demonstrates some appreciation for its devoted patrons.
If you aren’t a fan of BK Melts, Burger King offers other options. Churro Fries are available all day for those seeking a sweet treat, and Fiery Chicken Fries are perfect for those who enjoy a little spiciness. However, if you prefer milder fare, you might want to try BK’s standard chicken fries instead.
