Taco Bell Postpones 2nd Annual Live Más Live Event at the Hollywood Palladium in the Wake of the LA Fires
January 23, 2025
Taco Bell’s much-anticipated Live Más Live event at the Hollywood Palladium has been postponed in the wake of the Los Angeles fires.
On Jan. 20, Food & Wine announced that the second annual Live Más Live event would take place on Jan. 28 at the Hollywood Palladium. And, like last year’s tech-fueled event, this party will feature the presentation of the company’s “biggest innovations,” including new menu items.
However, the official website for the event now redirects to a statement released on Jan. 16 by Taco Bell, wherein the popular fast-food chain, alongside its sister brands KFC, Pizza Hut, and Habit Burger & Grill, “remain committed to our impacted employees, fans and neighbors. We’ve activated employee disaster relief and donation matching programs, we’re feeding frontline heroes, and we’re partnering with local relief organizations to provide essential services.”
Taco Bell subsequently released a statement to Food & Wine, stating that the Jan. 28 event at the Hollywood Palladium would be indefinitely postponed.
“As a brand that proudly calls Southern California home, Taco Bell is devastated to see the impact the recent wildfires have left on its local communities. To ensure the focus remains on the ongoing recovery and rebuilding efforts, the brand is postponing the upcoming Live Más LIVE 2025 and investor events to prioritize the safety and well-being of Los Angeles residents and the surrounding community,” the company said in a statement to the outlet.
Taco Bell Isn’t the Only Company Helping LA Fire Victims — Here’s How You Can Help
Taco Bell isn’t the only company committed to helping Los Angelinos who have been affected by the fires.
Mayor Karen Bass outlined two ways everyday citizens can also aid residents affected.
Bass stated at a news briefing that the public can help the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation as its troops combat numerous fires. Additionally, Bass stated that people can donate to the California Community Foundation Wildfire Recovery Fund to assist with house repairs and other relief activities following disasters.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, announced on their official website that the following organizations also assist victims of the Los Angeles fires:
- Organizations like José Andrés’ World Central Kitchen, a trusted partner of The Archewell Foundation, are providing meals to first responders and families impacted by the fires.
- CAL FIRE and the LA Fire Department Foundation are working hand-in-hand with other groups to assist firefighters as they bravely protect homes, families, and entire communities.
- The Compton Cowboys are offering emergency transport services for horses, while the Animal Wellness Foundation is housing and caring for animals displaced by the fires.
- Displaced residents are receiving free temporary housing through a partnership between 211LA and Airbnb.
- Baby2Baby is stepping in to support families by distributing essential items such as clothing, diapers, hygiene supplies, and emergency kits.
- All Power Books and other local organizations are providing emergency resources, including water and supplies, and are tirelessly working to meet the urgent needs of affected communities.
