The Ultimate Chipotle Fan-Inspired Hack Unveiled Ahead of National Tortilla Chip Day

February 21, 2025

Chipotle fans love to share their hacks to create a perfect bowl. To celebrate National Tortilla Chip Day on Monday, Feb. 24, the chain has unveiled the ultimate fan-inspired hack: Queso Blanco Nachos.

According to an announcement shared with RetailWire, the Mexican fast-food eatery devised the hack as a creative way to enjoy its beloved crunchy side. Chipotle gave step-by-step instructions on Instagram as to how to prepare this tasty treat with a crunchy edge. All customers have to do to recreate the hack is to order their go-to Burrito Bowl with a side of chips and Queso Blanco, and then assemble in layers to create the perfect nachos.

Chipotle’s Queso Blanco recipe uses 13 real ingredients, including aged Monterey Jack, white cheddar cheese, serrano, poblano, and chipotle peppers. It’s made with no artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives.

Here’s how to create Queso Blanco Nachos:

  1. Build your favorite Burrito Bowl on the Chipotle app or website, but don’t order rice.
  2. Add regular chips and a small side of Queso Blanco to your order.
  3. Place chips in the lid of your bowl.
  4. Top the chips with the Burrito Bowl.
  5. Drizzle Queso Blanco on top.
  6. Enjoy!

To continue the celebration of National Tortilla Chip Day, Chipotle is offering fans a free Queso Blanco offer on digital orders placed from Monday, Feb. 24 through Friday, Feb. 28 on the company’s app or website with the code QUESO25 at checkout.

The offer is valid for a free small side or entrée topping of Queso Blanco with the purchase of a full-priced entrée item.

Will Chipotle’s Beloved Guacamole Be Available in the Coming Months?

Chipotle customers remain in fear their beloved guacamole will fall victim to President Donald Trump’s proposed tariffs. The company assured its customers that the product is safe for now, despite government threats of tariffs on imports from Mexico. Therefore the popular side item should remain available to customers in the coming months.

Reportedly, the Mexican restaurant chain has diversified its avocado suppliers in the past several years. Therefore it doesn’t rely on Mexico for all its imports. Chipotle’s CEO Scott Boatwright discussed this issue during a fourth-quarter earnings call.

“Our supply chain team has done a remarkable job over the last couple of years with vendor diversification and moving some countries of origin out of Mexico proper. Today, we source from both Colombia, Peru, as well as the Dominican Republic,” Boatwright explained.

“Only about 50% of avocado supply today is coming out of Mexico,” Boatwright continued, noting that this strategy helps mitigate risks if tariffs on key imports go into effect.
