Dave’s Hot Chicken Launches a Shake Made With Lucky Charms Breakfast Cereal

March 5, 2025

Dave’s Hot Chicken has announced that it is launching a new milkshake made with Lucky Charms breakfast cereal.

According to Eat This, Not That!, the company is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with a new addition to its menu: Dave’s Lucky Charms Top-Loaded Shake. Available for a limited time at participating restaurants nationwide, the treat is Dave’s signature milkshake with chocolate, strawberry, or vanilla with a topper made from the iconic sugary cereal.

Customers can turn a normal shake into a Lucky Charms shake for just $2 more.

“At Dave’s Hot Chicken, we’re always looking for ways to turn up the flavor and fun,” said Dave’s Hot Chicken’s CEO, Bill Phelps, in a statement to the outlet. “Lucky Charms™ is an iconic cereal that brings back childhood memories for so many people, and we’re excited to bring that nostalgia to our guests in a totally new way.”

These shakes come hot on the heels of the company’s recent shake topping additions of OREO cookies and M&M’S.

Dave’s Hot Chicken Isn’t the Only Fast-Food Joint Experimenting With Shakes

St. Patrick’s Day seems to bring out retail creativity in the fast-food world, especially with the recent announcement of the return of the McDonald’s Shamrock Shake and the debut of the Wendy’s Girl Scout Thin Mint Frosty.

The latter combines the flavors of two “iconic fan favorites” to produce a tasty and minty treat. It is available now at Wendy’s locations nationwide, but only for a limited time.

“Plus, everyone knows Thin Mints are extra delicious when frozen (Girl Scout’s Honor), so Wendy’s is giving you another delicious way to experience the frozen flavor a Girl Scouts best-seller!” the company said in a news release, per USA Today. “Each bite pairs minty-chocolatey, crumbly, cookie butter texture with the cool, creamy Frosty.”

The taste is available as a swirl in either Chocolate or Vanilla Frosty. Those looking for an extra sugar rush can purchase Girl Scout cookies directly from Troop 6000, a troop dedicated to assisting the thousands of girls living in New York City shelters.
