Carnival Cruise Line Abruptly Cancels Jetline Bookings
March 9, 2025
Carnival Cruise Line has sent its passengers into a frenzy with the news that it has abruptly canceled its Jetline bookings.
According to Cruise Trade News, the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has confirmed that Jetline Travel Limited has discontinued operations as an ATOL holder.
It comes after Carnival Cruise Line, Princess Cruises, Holland America Line, and Cunard canceled certain pending reservations made through Jetline for a purported “breach of contract,” leaving cruise guests in the dark. All other reservations, including those for P&O Cruises, have been moved to direct reservations.
The CAA shared a statement released on March 6: “If you are currently overseas and you hold a scheduled flight e-ticket, the flight remains valid for the return journey. You are advised to check-in with the airline as per the existing flight ticket. The CAA is speaking to the service providers for the other elements of your trip to ensure these continue as planned.”
“We have already contacted our impacted guests and our priority remains in supporting them. Our teams are available to assist with alternative arrangements. Guests who need information in relation to compensation should contact ATOL,” the cruise companies said in a joint statement to the outlet.
Carnival Cruise Line Is Opening a New Beach Club
Even though it recently canceled the Jetline bookings, Carnival Cruise Line has still shared some positive news as well. Recently, it unveiled its new beach club in the Bahamas.
Carnival Cruise Line’s new private beach area in the Bahamas, Celebration Key, is nearly finished. With just five months to go before its release, many important milestones have already been reached.
An aerial view of Celebration Key’s construction shows the Calypso Lagoon Portal, which is reserved for adults. The centerpiece of the destination’s five gates is the 10-story Suncastle waterslide tower, which is surrounded by scaffolding in the background.
During a recent site visit, Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line, assisted in the ceremonial filling of one of the two largest freshwater lagoons in the Caribbean. The lagoons hold about 7 million gallons of fresh water, which an on-site system will desalinate.
“Celebration Key represents a new chapter for Carnival and its construction builds on our close partnership with The Bahamas, so seeing it transform from vision to reality is incredible,” said Duffy. “We broke ground on this site less than three years ago, and now in five short months we’ll see our first guests enjoy the many experiences we created just for them to celebrate and enjoy this gorgeous place on Grand Bahama.”
