KFC Drops New ‘Dunk It Bucket’ Featuring Mashed Potato Poppers

KFC is rolling out a new menu item for fans of saucy, shareable meals: the “Dunk It Bucket.”

Per a press release, the Dunk It Bucket is filled with the chicken chain’s hand-breaded Original Recipe Tenders, Secret Recipe Fries, and crispy Mashed Potato Poppers. Additionally, the bucket features a series of sauces to choose from, such as:

• Warm Gravy: A KFC classic.
• Comeback Sauce: Creamy, zesty, and craveable.
• Honey BBQ: Sweet, smoky, and tangy.
• Honey Mustard: A blend of sweetness and tangy mustard.
• Sticky Chicky Sweet and Sour Sauce: A balance of sweet and tangy flavors like pineapple, garlic, vinegar, and chili.
• Classic Ranch: The chain’s signature ranch.
• Buffalo Ranch: The classic kick of Buffalo sauce paired with a creamy ranch, blended peppers, buttermilk, herbs, and spices.

What Are KFC’s Mashed Potato Poppers?

KFC is putting a new twist on its classic mashed potatoes by turning them into crispy, bite-sized Mashed Potato Poppers. Available on their own or as part of the Dunk It Bucket, these golden, crunchy bites come in a five-count order with a side of warm gravy for dipping.

“Our new Mashed Potato Poppers transform a legendary KFC classic into a crunchy can’t-resist bite of perfection,” said Catherine Tan-Gillespie, president of KFC U.S. “And the Dunk It Bucket? Oh, it’s a dream come true for sauce lovers — dip it, dunk it, drench it, do your thing. It’s our first brand-new bucket in nearly a decade, and trust me, it was so worth the wait!”

Per the fast-food chain, a solo Dunk It Bucket retails for $7. A family-sized portion, called the Double Dunk It Bucket, is $25. Plus, for those who want to take their love for dunking a step further, the eatery is offering limited-edition “KFC Dunk It” merch online.

The collection features a mini basketball hoop and ball, stickers, a T-shirt, and a hoodie. Each is designed to bring the playful spirit of dunking to life and is the perfect way for fans to show off their love for the colonel’s chicken recipe.

Customers can order Dunk It Buckets in-store, online, or through the app for delivery or Quick Pick-Up, and KFC Rewards customers earn double points on Dunk It Bucket orders through April 27.
