March 19, 2025

Chipotle has announced the launch of a unique “Fight On” digital menu that will include the go-to orders for all University of Southern California women’s basketball team members, including star guard JuJu Watkins. The fast-food chain first teamed up with the USC women’s basketball team in December 2024, when the company announced its first college NIL (name, image, likeness) deal. Let’s take a look at what we know about this new partnership.

The Fast-Food Giant Originally Partnered With Juju Watkins

The fast-food giant is nothing if not pleased with its partnership with the USC women’s basketball team, as it has proven quite successful for the brand.

“Each new entrée on the ‘Fight On Menu’ represents how these elite athletes trust Chipotle for proper nutrition, especially as their collective intensity ramps up in March,” said Chris Brandt, chief brand officer at Chipotle, in a statement. “This sisterhood of the USC women’s basketball team and each player’s drive to be the absolute best version of themselves are reasons why they are a real championship contender.”

The company first partnered with Juju Watkins, the breakout star of the team, back in December. “We’re always training hard and staying active, so having a meal option that’s both delicious and packed with protein is perfect for recovering after workouts,” said Watkins, following the announcement. “Chipotle is also a great spot for the team to bond. It’s super convenient being so close to our practice facility, making it an easy go-to for us to grab a quick meal together and connect.”

The partnership with Watkins marked the first time that Chipotle engaged in an NIL deal with a college basketball star.
