Krispy Kreme Launches Bunny-Themed Doughnut Line for Easter

Krispy Kreme is getting into the holiday spirit and wishing all of its customers a “Hoppy Easter” with a new line of bunny-themed doughnuts.

In a press release announcement, the doughnut chain revealed that the “Hoppy Easter” doughnuts, which are available for a limited time, were made available for purchase nationwide as of April 7. The selection of doughnuts includes:

• Bunny Basket Doughnut: A classic Original Glazed doughnut coated in chocolate icing, decorated with rich chocolate buttercream, and crowned with a sweet candy bunny.
• Marshmallow Bunny Doughnut: A shell doughnut without glaze, filled with marshmallow-flavored Kreme, covered in soft pastel yellow icing, and finished with a cute bunny face and candy ears.
• Bouncing Bunny Doughnut: An Original Glazed doughnut dipped in pastel blue icing, sprinkled with festive toppings, and adorned with a playful bunny decoration.
• Strawberry Iced Doughnut with Sprinkles: An Original Glazed doughnut covered in luscious strawberry icing and topped with pastel-colored sprinkles for a fun, festive touch.

“We’re passing on the eggs this Easter and instead hopping into the holiday with all-new bunny-themed doughnuts that are almost too cute to eat. Almost! And … you don’t have to hunt for these doughnuts; just hop to a Krispy Kreme shop near you,” said Dave Skena, Krispy Kreme’s chief growth officer, in a statement accompanying the press release.

Krispy Kreme Previously Introduced St. Patty’s Day Doughnuts

Krispy Kreme is in the habit of introducing themed doughnuts to its customers for various seasons, with the most recent ones being for St. Patrick’s Day. Those doughnuts included:

• Pot of Gold Doughnut: A classic Original Glazed Doughnut coated in rich caramel-flavored icing, finished with a swirl of caramel buttercream and shimmering gold coin sprinkles.
• Over the Rainbow Doughnut: An unglazed shell doughnut filled with cake batter-flavored Kreme, covered in light green icing, and adorned with festive shamrock rainbow sprinkles and a rainbow sugar decoration.
• Choco-Shenanigans Doughnut: An unglazed shell doughnut filled with smooth white Kreme, coated in decadent chocolate icing, and drizzled with green icing, topped off with sparkling gold coin sprinkles.
• St. Patty’s Swirl Doughnut: An Original Glazed Doughnut dipped in creamy white icing, swirled with vibrant green icing, and dusted with a mix of white and gold sanding sugar for a festive finish.
