Mango Salsa Returns to QDOBA Menus, Sparking Happy Fan Frenzy

April 23, 2025

The fresh, sweet heat of Mango Salsa returns to QDOBA‘s menus just in time for the warmer months, and fans are ready for it.

However, there’s a catch. The sweet and spicy menu item is only available for a limited time.

A press release reveals the condiment is freshly made daily. It contains ripe mango, diced tomato, red onion, jalapeño, and cilantro. Best of all, Mango Salsa is offered as a free topping with any create-your-own entrée, as a Mango Salsa and chips side item, or as an add-on to any Catering Hot Bar.

“With tropical flavors taking center stage in the culinary world and consumers craving bolder, more adventurous flavors, we’re thrilled to treat our guests to a seasonal favorite,” said Tara Lynch, director of national marketing at QDOBA. “Mango Salsa is our second most requested menu item — right after our Loaded Tortilla Soup. Knowing customization is so important to our guests, we hope this reintroduction will unlock many different, fun and flavorful ways they can elevate their favorite meals at no added cost.”

Mango Salsa’s return has many of the eatery’s fans cheering. In response to an Instagram announcement, one fan penned, “FINALLLYYYYYY.” A second noted, “YEeeeeeessssssss!!!!!!! Finally!”

A third follower cheered, “running to QDOBA ASAP,” followed by a fourth who said they were “obsessed” with the condiment.

QDOBA Is a Leader in the Customizable Quick-Service Industry

Founded in 1995 in Denver, Colorado, QDOBA has grown into one of North America’s leading fast-casual restaurant chains, known for its bold flavors and customizable menu. The brand quickly gained traction for its fresh approach to Mexican-inspired cuisine, allowing guests to craft their own burritos, bowls, tacos, and more with a wide variety of ingredients and signature sauces.

The eatery currently operates over 820 locations. These include 802 stores in the United States, 14 in Canada, three in Puerto Rico, and one in Japan.

The restaurant continues to prioritize franchise growth in key markets such as Arizona, Georgia, Ohio, North Carolina, Nevada, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas. In March 2025, the restaurant revealed its plans to bring more than 33 new locations to key markets across the country.

Per a separate press release, Jeremy Vitaro, chief development officer at QDOBA, said, “QDOBA’s momentum continues to accelerate, driven by strong franchise partnerships and a commitment to quality. We’re excited to welcome new franchisees who bring industry expertise and a shared passion for bold flavors. As we surpass 500 development commitments, we’re reinforcing our position as a premier fast-casual brand poised for long-term success.”

What sets QDOBA apart from other fast-casual Mexican eateries is its commitment to quality and customization. Unlike many competitors, QDOBA does not charge extra for popular additions like guacamole and queso. It also offers flame-grilled proteins, hand-smashed guacamole, and freshly chopped vegetables daily.

QDOBA’s menu highlights include its popular Chicken Protein Bowl, packed with grilled adobo chicken, black beans, cilantro-lime rice, and guacamole. Seasonal and limited-time items, such as the Mango Salsa and Cholula Hot & Sweet Chicken, continue to drive repeat visits.

In recent years, QDOBA has expanded its footprint not only through traditional dine-in locations but also via catering services and delivery options. This further cements the restaurant’s role as a go-to eatery for flavorful, fast-casual dining. Subsequently, its loyalty program, QDOBA Rewards, lets guests earn points toward free entrees, encouraging return visits and building brand loyalty.

QDOBA’s approachable price point, vibrant menu, and flexibility in ordering make it a favorite for customers looking for quick yet satisfying meals. Its commitment to an enjoyable guest experience reflects the brand’s core promise to deliver bold flavors and fresh ingredients.
