Kroger Taps Into TikTok’s Cherry Obsession With Exciting New Collection

May 6, 2025

Kroger has jumped on a popular TikTok trend with its new Cherry Harvest collection.

Per a company press release, the supermarket retailer has launched its Private Selection Cherry Harvest line of products. The debut coincides with cherry season, which typically runs from late spring through summer.

Cherries are having a major moment, and the popular TikTok trend isn’t going anywhere. From bold red hues to sweet, juicy flavor profiles, a cherry obsession is taking over social media feeds and influencing everything from fashion to food.

Therefore, Kroger has added itself to retailers that can’t get enough of the tart, sweet, and juicy taste of cherries. “Private Selection’s Cherry Harvest collection truly captures the essence and craveability of the season’s must-try, highly sought-after flavor,” said Mike Murphy, group vice president of center store merchandising at Kroger. “Our team of culinary experts identified customer excitement for cherry at the onset of the trend, and we’re thrilled to introduce this innovative and exclusive line full of sweet and tart flavored treats and beverages that are sure to be the cherry on top all season long.”

To celebrate the arrival of cherry season, the new limited-edition Cherry Harvest collection is launching with 17 specialty items that blend traditional tastes and creative new twists:

Kroger Plans on Expanding Its Private Selection Line

Kroger’s Cherry Harvest is another installment in its Private Selection line of foods and products. The last was in the fall of 2024 when the retailer re-debuted its Harvest Apple collection.

This series of supermarket items was first delivered to stores in 2023. Its September 2024 relaunch brought back several customer favorites as well as some new Harvest Apple products.

“Private Selection’s Harvest Apple quickly became a customer favorite in its debut year and we are thrilled to return this classic flavor with even more products to love,” said Juan De Paoli, vice president of Our Brands for Kroger, via a press statement at the time. “Fall in love with Harvest Apple all over again and enjoy an indulgent fresh twist on nostalgic autumn staples with Spiced Apple Cider and Caramel Apple Popcorn added to the lineup.”

The fall lineup of items shared a lot of the same items as the spring cherry rollout. These included K-cups, popcorn, blondies, cookies, snack mixes, and flowers.

The supermarket chain will continue to roll out new, seasonal items in the line later in 2025. The scent and themes have yet to be revealed.
