Buca di Beppo Clarifies Previous Bankruptcy Filing Report, Claims It Embarked on ‘Next Chapter’ With Partnership

May 27, 2025

Buca di Beppo management is disputing an earlier report from WTFV claiming that its new management company has filed for bankruptcy and left the company in flux.

Last month, RetailWire reported that PB Restaurants LLC, the management company of the Italian-inspired eatery, filed for bankruptcy protection. Due to the lender’s prior acquisition of Buca di Beppo, Scott Shuker of Shuker & Dorris PA, who represents the business and its parent group, is involved in this matter.

However, in an email sent on May 23, representatives for the company disputed the report, claiming that Buca di Beppo has not filed for bankruptcy under the new management company and is not affiliated with PB Management or Earl Enterprises.

As of November 2024, Jackmont Hospitality has been the management company for the Italian-inspired eatery.

What Buca di Beppo Wants Its Customers To Know

“In November 2024, Main Street Capital Corporation, a Houston-based private investment firm, acquired Buca di Beppo following the company’s August 2024 bankruptcy filing,” a company rep said in a statement to RetailWire. “To lead its resurgence, Main Street has partnered with Atlanta-based Jackmont Hospitality Inc. to oversee operations as the brand embarks on the next chapter of growth.”

The purchase signals the company’s renewed commitment to offering authentic Italian dining experiences while honoring the brand’s rich heritage and providing its patrons with lifelong memories. Under the direction of Main Street and Jackmont, Buca di Beppo is poised to expand and implement new projects to enhance its menu selections, visitor experience, and community involvement at all 41 of its restaurant locations.

“We are thrilled to join forces with the Main Street family,” said Daniel Halpern, CEO of Jackmont Hospitality Inc., in a statement. “This partnership is not just about sustaining operations; it’s about reinvigorating a beloved brand. We’re excited to expand our presence, and continue delivering the fun, festive atmosphere and delicious Italian dishes our guests know and love.”

Buca di Beppo provides curbside pickup and delivery via Uber Eats, Grubhub, Postmates, and DoorDash in order to accommodate changing dining habits. Buca di Beppo remains a preferred choice for special events and group meals because to its specialty dine-in choices, such as the Pope’s Table (which seats 12 to 18 guests) and the Chef’s Table (which seats six to 10).
