Wendy’s Newest Burger Replaces Buns With Grilled Cheese Sandwiches

Wendy’s has a wild new menu option that is sure to get cheese lovers standing in line for a bite.
Allrecipes reports that the latest creation features two grilled cheese sandwiches serving as the buns for the new burger, which consists of a quarter pound of beef, caramelized onions, mayo, and a slice of cheese.
As might be expected, Wendy’s is dubbing this creation the Grilled Cheese Cheeseburger.
Fans of insane burger creations, however, will have to take a trip to the Great White North to get a taste, as this is only available in Canada.
However, American fans can take comfort in knowing that Wendy’s may bring the Grilled Cheese Cheeseburger to American shores, if the initial run in Canada does well.
In a press release announcement, the Canadians are getting a “first taste” of the new burger, according to Hayley Kianoff, international culinary innovation manager. Furthermore, the Wendy’s Company rarely announces its international menus in the United States, but on this occasion, it did, which is leading people to believe that it may come to the States soon.
In the meantime, Canadian consumers can enjoy this unique innovation as well as limited-edition small beverages, such as Iced Coffee, Frosty Fizz, and Frosty-ccino, for $1.99 in shops from May 26 to June 29. Customers can now add vanilla, chocolate, or caramel to their Frosty-ccino or Iced Coffees, a new feature for this summer.
Wendy’s Also Has a Summer Menu
For customers who think a Grilled Cheese Cheeseburger will be too much for their tastes, the fast-food giant is offering a summer menu for a limited time.
The new Cajun Crunch Sandwich, which features seasoned chicken, Pepper Jack cheese, and crispy onions, was released on April 16.
The new Tangerine Twist Lemonade, a summertime concoction of tropical and tangerine tastes, is also now available for sampling.
The company partnered with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products to offer a kids’ meal that includes DC Super Heroes and Villains toys as another new menu item. Get your taste of Batman, Harley Quinn, and Black Lightning with this special deal for kids and collectors.
The kids’ meal includes:
- Your choice of four-piece chicken nuggets, hamburger, or cheeseburger
- Jr. Hot & Crispy Fries or Apple Bites
- Kid’s drink
