President and CEO of the National Grocers Association (NGA), Peter J. Larkin, submitted a letter of support to the Chairs and Ranking Members of the House and Senate Appropriations Committees urging for the inclusion of a provision within an end of the year spending bill that would suspend the once a week 34-hour restart truck driver restrictions until the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) completes a safety and effectiveness study and reports its findings.
