Birkenstock to ends sales on Amazon over counterfeits

Birkenstock is ending direct sales and will not authorize third parties to sell its shoes on Amazon.com in the U.S. beginning on Jan. 1. The company said it was taking the action because Amazon’s marketplace was filled with counterfeits and unauthorized sellers.
