Dairy farmer says ICE busts could lead to empty grocery store shelves

It’s well known that many farmers rely on undocumented workers to bring their crops and livestock to market. But many farmers now worry that raids by Immigration and Custom Enforcement agents may hurt their ability to do just that. “There are people out there who just say, ‘Send them all back and build a wall.’ But they would be facing empty shelves in the grocery store if that were to happen,” said Mike McMahon, a dairy farmer from upstate New York.
