A look at the auto models that rank highest as “American-made” offers a quick lesson in how much the U.S. economy relies on globalization. According to this year’s Cars.com American-Made Index, the model with the most domestically sourced major parts and labor is currently Jeep Cherokee, which as an iconic American brand makes sense — but of course, the car is manufactured by Fiat Chrysler, a shared international enterprise. Second on the list is a car made by a fully Japanese company, the Honda Odyssey, assembled in Alabama.
