Acme and Stop & Shop withdraw bids for some A&P locations

Acme has withdrawn its bid for six of 70 stores it planned to purchase from A&P as part of the chain's bankruptcy proceedings. Stop & Shaw has decided to forgo acquiring 24 of the stores it had planned to acquire.
